WHAT SHE DID - Senior defender Susan Palmer became the first player in Pepperdine women’s soccer history to be drafted by the Women’s United Soccer Association. The native Californian was picked 26th overall by the San Diego Spirit.

Last season, Palmer was a key figure in the Waves’ record-breaking 18-2-2 mark. She was named the team’s defensive MVP three times.

OFF THE FIELD - Palmer likes to attend reggae concerts, whether with friends or her boyfriend.
